About this product
The Starrett A2-1 is an SDS Plus shank arbor for use with hole saws ranging from 32mm to 210mm diameter, allowing SDS-Plus rotary hammer drills to be used for hole saw work with the hammer action turned off. It suits electricians, plumbers and contractors cutting larger diameter holes through wood, plastic and metal. It has a 5/8-18" screw thread and is compatible with 13mm (1/2") chucks, with a drill length of 79mm. Pilot drills are available in high speed steel (HSS), HSS extended length, or carbide tipped versions depending on the material being drilled. Some versions use a Quick-Hitch design, with two locating pins in the hole saw cap to prevent overtightening on the thread, allowing tool-free hole saw changes without removing the arbor from the chuck.
