About this product
This Starrett hole saw has tungsten carbide tipped teeth designed for fast, heat-free cutting of non-metallic materials such as wood, MDF, plastics, plasterboard and ceramic wall tiles. It is suited to both construction and installation work as well as DIY use, offering quicker cutting times and longer life than a bi-metal hole saw.
The 40mm diameter saw has a cutting depth of 54mm, which allows it to cut through strapping and joists as well as thinner materials. It produces a smooth cut with minimal heat build-up and is suitable for use in both mains and battery powered power tools.
