About this product

This 24-inch cage trap is designed for the humane capture of grey squirrels and similar-sized pests such as rats. Made from galvanised steel to resist rust and corrosion, it features doors at each end, exploiting squirrels' natural caution about entering spaces without a visible exit. When the animal takes the bait, both doors close, safely trapping it inside without injury. The cage comes fully assembled, ready to be baited, complete with a carry handle for transporting captured animals and simple setting instructions. Note: it is illegal under UK law to release captured live grey squirrels back into the wild; they must be humanely dispatched. Contact DEFRA or the RSPCA for guidance on legal requirements and humane despatch methods.
