Knipex 49 11 A3 external circlip pliers are designed for fitting and removing circlips on shafts from 40 to 100mm diameter, using straight tips suited to confined spaces. They are forged from chrome vanadium electric steel, oil-hardened with polished heads, and feature inserted precision tips said to offer a much longer service life than turned tips.
The pliers have a bolted joint for precise, zero-backlash operation, large contact faces to fit circlips without distorting them, and an internal opening spring that is protected and captive. Handles are non-slip plastic coated for comfort and grip. Overall length is 225mm, with tips measuring 2.3mm in diameter. Suitable for trade and DIY use, including automotive work.
