About this product
The Knipex 74 06 180 SB is a 180mm high leverage diagonal cutter designed for tough, continuous use. Its VDE-tested, insulated multi-component handles conform to DIN EN/IEC 60900, making it safe to use on live conductors up to 1,000V. An integrated forged joint axle and optimised cutting edge angle mean around 20% less effort is needed compared with conventional diagonal cutters of the same length. The head is chrome plated, made from chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel that is forged and multi-stage oil-hardened. The precision cutting edges are induction-hardened to approximately 64 HRC, allowing the tool to cut all types of wire including piano wire. Cutting capacities are 3.8mm for medium hard wire, 2.7mm for hard wire and 2.2mm for piano wire.
