About this product
These VDE-insulated cable shears are designed for electricians cutting copper and aluminium conductors, including multiple stranded cables, without crushing or deforming the ends. They handle cables up to 50 mm² (15 mm diameter) but are not suitable for steel wire or hard drawn copper conductors.
Made from forged, oil-hardened special tool steel with a chrome-plated finish, the blades are precision-ground and hardened for clean cuts and one-hand operation. The adjustable bolted joint with self-retaining screw maintains cutting performance, and integrated finger guards protect the user.
The insulation is VDE tested to 10,000V, safe for use on installations up to 1,000V, and conforms to DIN EN/IEC 60900, making them suitable for work near live electrical systems.
