About this product
This Knipex VDE ratchet action cable cutter is designed for cutting steel wire armoured cables up to 45mm diameter (380mm²), including multi-core configurations. It suits electricians and contractors working on live circuits, as it is VDE tested for insulation safety, conforming to DIN EN/IEC 60900 standards. A three-stage ratchet drive gives high leverage, allowing one-handed or two-handed operation with reduced effort. Induction-hardened, precision-ground steel cutting edges produce a clean cut without crushing the cable. A support area on the fixed handle lets the tool be rested safely during use. Compact and lightweight at 315mm long and 800g, it's suited to confined spaces. It is not suitable for ACSR cable, steel wire or wire rope.
