About this product

These 140mm Maun diagonal cutting pliers, also known as side cutters, are made for precision wire cutting in confined spaces. Their compact size suits jewellers, dental technicians, piano technicians, craft workers and electricians cutting small diameter cable, as well as engineers and mechanics working with hard wire. A compound-lever action multiplies hand force by 18, allowing hard, piano and dental wire to be cut with minimal effort. The jaws are induction-hardened to HRC 64 for durability and accuracy, with a rust-proof finish and zinc-plated handles featuring detailing for added grip. Cutting capacity is 1.6mm for piano wire, 2.0mm for hard wire and 3.0mm for soft wire, with a jaw opening of 10mm and jaw width of 8mm. Made in England, conforming to BS 3087-7:1996 and ISO 5747:1995. Not for use on live electrical wire.
