About this product
The Makita DSD180 is a cordless drywall cutter for making precise openings in plasterboard, such as for light fittings, vents and electrical outlets. Powered by the 18v LXT battery platform (sold as a bare tool, without battery, charger or case), it cuts drywall up to 30mm thick and wood up to 15mm, with variable speed control up to 6,000 strokes per minute.
Designed for overhead work, it features an integrated dust box plus a connection for an external extractor, an LED light to illuminate the cut line, and adjustable cutting depth to help prevent accidental damage to wiring behind drywall.
Other features include a protective base cover to prevent surface scratching, on-tool hex wrench storage, a battery fuel gauge and trigger lock. Supplied with a drywall blade, hex wrench, blade cover and base cover.
