About this product
The Makita JS1602 is a 110v metal shear designed for straight and curved cuts, with a minimum external cutting radius of 30mm. It produces clean, burr-free edges, cutting a neat strip from the middle of the material and reducing the need for secondary finishing.
It has an improved, slimmer motor housing with a ribbed rear cover for a comfortable, secure grip, plus a conveniently placed slide switch for one-hand operation. The lightweight, compact design aids manoeuvrability in tight or overhead spaces.
Input power is 380W with a no-load speed of 4,000 strokes per minute. Cutting capacity is up to 2.5mm in aluminium, 1.6mm in mild steel, and between 0.8mm and 1.2mm in stainless steel depending on grade. It weighs 1.6kg and is double insulated, supplied with a wrench holder and 3mm hex wrench.
