About this product
The Makita DJR188 is an 18V LXT cordless brushless reciprocating saw, part of Makita's sub-compact range offering lighter handling within the 18V system. It suits demolition, plumbing and general construction work, with a cutting capacity of 255mm in timber and 130mm in mild steel pipe, and a stroke rate of up to 3,000 strokes per minute over a 20mm stroke length.
The brushless motor improves runtime and reduces maintenance. Features include tool-less blade changing, variable speed trigger control, a constant speed dial, an electric brake, a lock-off button and an LED job light for dark areas. The rubber-wrapped D-handle is designed for comfortable, secure handling, making the saw suited to overhead or off-ground tasks. Weight is quoted between 2.6kg and 2.9kg depending on source.
Supplied as a bare unit with a blade included but without battery, charger or case.
