About this product
ForgeFix Decking Screws, size 4.5 x 60mm, supplied in a bulk tub of 1,000. Hardened and green treated, these single-threaded screws are designed for decking, exterior timber and fencing applications, with the longer length suited to thicker boards and hardwood.
The single-thread design helps prevent boards splitting while allowing for seasonal expansion and contraction, and offers higher pull-out values with quicker insertion. The Pozidriv head has four additional points of contact compared with a Phillips cross-head, reducing cam-out and allowing greater torque when used with the correct tooling.
The green treated finish gives 1,000 hours of corrosion resistance and is suitable for use with ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) treated timber commonly used in decking and construction.
