ForgeFix ForgeFast Elite Performance wood screws, 5.0 x 50mm, supplied in a tub of 600. The 5mm diameter gives increased resistance to shearing and bending, suiting heavy-duty decking, substantial structural joinery and hardwood applications where a standard 4mm screw may not be sufficient, joining materials up to around 35-38mm thick.

The Pozi compatible drive has 6 underhead lobes for clean countersinking, with reinforced countersunk necks for extra holding power. The anti-friction thread reduces timber splitting and prevents jacking and spinning, while the serrated thread improves pull-out resistance and reduces insertion torque. A double cutting point speeds up drilling, cuts clogging, and can pierce 0.8mm steel.

Screws are finished in Elementech 400, a chromium-free anti-corrosive coating tested to 400 hours' salt spray, suitable for interior and exterior use.
