ForgeFast wood screws measuring 5.0 x 80mm, supplied in a box of 100. The size is suited to thick timber sections such as structural beams, timber framework and thick floor constructions where extra penetration depth and holding power are needed.

The screws have a universally accepted Pozi-compatible drive, with six underhead lobes for improved countersinking and reduced surface dust, and reinforced countersunk necks for better holding power. The anti-friction thread reduces splitting, jacking and spinning of joined timber, while the serrated thread improves pull-out resistance and reduces insertion torque. A double cutting point gives faster drilling with less clogging and can pierce 0.8mm steel.

The screws feature an Elementech 400 coating, an anti-corrosive finish said to last up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings, free from Cr6+. They are suitable for interior use.
