ForgeFast wood screws in 4.5 x 50mm size, supplied in boxes of 200 with a Torx-compatible bit included. Suitable for interior use, this length and diameter suit heavier fixing tasks such as attaching timber to blockwork, joining thicker sections of hardwood and fitting heavy-duty brackets.

The screws have a Torx-compatible drive for good torque transfer, plus a patented drill and drive thread that reduces splitting, jacking and spinning of joined timber while improving pull-out resistance. A sharp point gives a fast bite and can pierce 0.8mm steel. Recessed ribs beneath the countersunk head aid clean countersinking with less surface dust, and a reinforced neck improves holding power.

An Elementech 400 coating gives anti-corrosive protection said to last up to six times longer than standard zinc finishes, contains no Cr6+, and has been salt spray tested to 400 hours.
