ForgeFix ForgeFast wood screws in 5.0 x 70mm size, supplied in a tub of 450 with a complimentary Torx-compatible bit. The larger gauge and length suit heavy-duty interior timber work, deep joinery and structural applications requiring strong holding power.

The screws feature a Torx-compatible drive for good torque transmission and reduced cam-out, recessed ribs for improved countersinking and less surface dust, and a reinforced countersunk neck for a secure fix. The patented drill and drive thread reduces splitting and 'jacking' or spinning of joined timber, while increasing pull-out resistance. A sharp point gives faster bite and can pierce 0.8mm steel.

An 'Elementech 400' coating provides anti-corrosive protection said to last up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings, contains no Cr6+, and is salt spray tested to 400 hours. Suitable for interior use.
