About this product
These 4 x 70mm ForgeFix Multi-Purpose Screws are supplied in a box of 200, suitable for joinery, electrical, plumbing and general DIY use. The longer length suits heavier applications and thicker materials where greater penetration depth is needed. They work with PVCu, timber, chipboard, MDF and similar materials.
Each screw has a countersunk head that sinks flush for a smooth finish, and a Pozidriv compatible drive, identifiable by a 45° embossed line. This drive has extra contact points and no rounded corners, reducing cam-out and allowing more torque when used with suitable tooling.
The zinc plated finish protects against corrosion by forming a barrier and acting as a sacrificial anode. A single thread design is intended to give quicker insertion and higher pull-out strength.
