About this product
A 5 x 70mm multi-purpose screw with a countersunk, Pozidriv-compatible head, supplied in a box of 100. The larger diameter and length suit heavy-duty applications and thicker timber sections where deep penetration and strong holding are needed.
The zinc-plated finish protects against corrosion by forming a barrier and acting as a sacrificial layer if damaged. The Pozidriv drive has extra contact points and no rounded corners, reducing cam-out and allowing higher torque when used with the correct tooling; it's identified by a 45° embossed line on the head.
The countersunk head sits flush with the surface, and the single thread design gives higher pull-out resistance with quicker insertion. Suitable for PVCu, timber, chipboard and MDF, used across joinery, electrical, plumbing and DIY work.
