Construction features a cast iron I-beam handle for strength and rigidity under load, with hardened and tempered jaw teeth to resist wear. The design gives a larger jaw capacity than a Stillson wrench, and the lower jaw is precision seated to avoid harmful loading on the retaining pin.
Jaw capacity is 76mm (3in). The wrench conforms to BS3594 part 1 and stringent civil engineering manufacturing standards.
