About this product
This long handle bulb planter is designed for professional gardeners planting larger bulbs. It works by boring a hole into the ground to the required depth using the barrel, allowing the bulb to be inserted before the soil plug is replaced. The tool is made from heat-treated carbon steel for strength and durability, with a powder-coated finish that resists rust, scratches, humidity and soil alkaloids. It has a 980mm long European ash T-grip handle, sourced from FSC certified sustainable resources and finished with a protective lacquer. The long handle avoids the need for bending or kneeling, reducing back strain, and a foot leverage point helps push through tough or compacted soil. It suits planting spring-flowering bulbs such as daffodils, tulips and alliums in September and October, or summer bulbs like gladioli in May. It forms part of the Countryman range of gardening tools.
