About this product
Denso Tape is a brown, cold-applied corrosion protection tape measuring 50mm wide by 10m long, suited to smaller diameter pipes, rods, cables, valves and compact metal fittings. The narrower width allows precise application in confined spaces, and the tape is suitable for both buried and exposed applications.
It remains plastic over a wide temperature range and is non-hardening and non-cracking, being highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis, salts and micro-organisms, and highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. It is made from non-woven synthetic fibre fabric impregnated and coated with a neutral compound based on saturated petroleum hydrocarbons and inert siliceous fillers.
Specifications: breaking strength 200 N/50mm minimum, elongation at break 10%, thickness 1.15mm, application temperature -5°C to 45°C, and maximum service temperature 55°C.
