About this product
Denso Tape is a cold applied, non-hardening and non-cracking tape used to protect buried or exposed pipes, rods, cables, valves and metal fittings from corrosion. It remains plastic over a wide temperature range and is highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis, salts and micro-organisms, as well as being highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. This roll measures 100mm wide by 10m long, suited to larger pipe diameters and substantial fittings.
The tape is made from non-woven synthetic fibre fabric impregnated and coated with a neutral compound based on saturated petroleum hydrocarbons and inert siliceous fillers. It has a minimum breaking strength of 200 N/50mm, elongation at break of 10%, breakdown voltage of 16kV and thickness of 1.15mm. Application temperature range is -5°C to 45°C, with a maximum service temperature of 55°C.
