About this product
This Stanley FatMax BladeArmor tape measure has a 5-metre steel blade, 32mm wide, with metric-only graduations and EC Class II accuracy. It's suited to general construction and joinery work where a compact, portable tape with good reach is needed. Thermoplastic BladeArmor coating protects the first 14cm of blade, cutting the risk of breakage, while Mylar coating on the rest gives greater abrasion resistance than standard lacquered blades. Stand-out reach is around 3.35m, allowing single-person use. The high-impact ABS case has a rubberised bumper and rubber overmould for comfort and impact resistance. The corrosion-resistant Tru-zero hook allows accurate inside and outside measurements, with top, bottom and side hooks for versatile positioning. A forward blade lock allows quick, one-handed operation, and the tape includes a belt clip.
