About this product
This Stanley FatMax tape measure is an 8m metric-only model suited to larger construction, groundwork and commercial projects where longer measurements are needed. The 32mm wide blade gives a stand-out of around 3.3–3.4m, allowing single-handed use over greater distances. The blade has a Mylar coating with Blade Armor protection, said to be up to 10 times more abrasion resistant than standard lacquered blades. The high-impact ABS case features an oversized rubberised bumper and rubber overmould for durability, comfort and grip. The magnetic Tru-zero hook has three rivets and corrosion-resistant construction, with top, bottom and side hooks for accurate inside and outside measurements. A forward blade lock aids control, and the tape meets EC Class II accuracy.
