About this product
This non-contact infrared thermometer measures temperatures from -38°C to +520°C, accurate to within 3°, making it suitable for HVAC diagnostics, electrical inspections and building surveys where thermal leak detection is needed. A colour-coded backlit display shows green at the reference temperature, switching to red for high temperatures and blue for low temperatures, giving instant visual feedback when scanning an area. The high-contrast screen remains visible in varying light conditions, and the IP20-rated casing protects against dust ingress. An 8:1 spot ratio allows a 32cm diameter area to be measured from 2.5 metres away. Emissivity is fixed at 0.95, with a wavelength of 630-660nm, covering thermal radiation from most common materials. Supplied complete with 2 x AA batteries.
