About this product
Ronseal Total Wood Preserver is a general-purpose interior treatment formulated to kill woodworm and prevent rot and decay. It acts as a pre-treatment for indoor timber before overpainting, and works on both rough and smooth surfaces. The clear formula lets the natural wood show through, though it does not waterproof timber and is for indoor use only. Before applying, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from paint, varnish or stain. Decayed wood should be cut out and replaced with sound, treated timber, removing material well beyond the damaged area. It can be applied by brush, spray or dipping, with dipping recommended for end grains to ensure full penetration. At least two coats are needed, with drying time allowed between coats. Avoid contact with bitumen, mastics and plastics.
