About this product
Rustins Button Polish is a shellac-based polish used for French polishing where a more orange or golden tone is wanted, and for sealing wood before waxing. It is well suited to larger projects and professional furniture finishing given its 500ml size.
Applied correctly, it produces a high-gloss finish. The alcohol carrier evaporates quickly, leaving a film of shellac on the timber. For French polishing, apply as many coats as needed to build up the shellac layer; for sealing before waxing, apply two liberal coats.
Conforms to the Toys (Safety) Regulations 1995, BS:EN 71 Part 3.
