About this product

Rustins Quick Dry White Wood Dye is a low odour, water-based colourant for transforming the appearance of timber. It is touch dry within 30 minutes and can be over-coated after two hours with any finish from the Rustins range, making it suited to time-sensitive joinery, furniture restoration and interior woodworking projects. Suitable for all types of wood, hardboard, MDF and cork, the fade-resistant formula enhances the natural grain while providing lasting colour. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from wax, previous coatings or contaminants before applying with a rag or brush, wiping off any excess. The dye can be diluted with up to 30% water to adjust intensity, and should not be mixed with white spirit or solvent. One coat is usually sufficient, or two for a lighter shade. It is advisable to test on an inconspicuous area first to check the colour meets requirements.
