About this product
This open drum cable reel offers 50m of 1.5mm cable, making it suited to larger worksites or outdoor projects where extended reach is needed without joining extra extension leads. It runs at 110V for site safety compliance and provides 1760W (16 amp) when fully unwound, dropping to 660W (6 amp) when fully wound, so it should always be unwound fully before taking its maximum load. The reel has twin sockets, protected by spring-loaded covers to keep out debris, allowing one or more power tools to be run at once. It includes thermal overload protection, a sturdy steel frame with carry handle, a winding knob for tangle-free rewinding, and comes with a fitted plug ready for use. It is manufactured to British Standard BS EN 61242.
