This DEWALT Wood Auger Drill Bit is designed for boring clean, precise holes through timber, such as beams, joists and doors, and is suited to tasks like conduit runs, fixings and cable routes. It has a threaded centre point for accurate positioning and a self-feed tip that helps it draw into the wood with minimal effort.
The outer cutting spur and dual cutting edge produce clean holes with less splintering, and offer added resilience if the bit meets hidden nails during first-fix work. A Lewis spiral flute clears debris quickly, allowing rapid drilling. It is compatible with both corded and cordless drills.
This bit measures 16mm in diameter, with a 200mm overall length and 100mm working length. Sizes from 12mm upwards, including this one, feature a hexagonal shank.
