About this product
The Makita DC40RA is a fast charger designed for Makita's 40Vmax XGT lithium-ion power tool batteries, running on a 110V supply. With the optional ADP10 adaptor (sold separately), it can also charge 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries. It features two cooling fans, one for the battery and one for the charging circuit, allowing consecutive batteries to be charged at the optimum rate. A raised, enlarged charging indicator light gives clearer status information, and a selectable melody sound can notify when charging is complete. Approximate charging times are 22 minutes for a 2.0Ah battery, 28 minutes for a 2.5Ah battery, 45 minutes for a 4.0Ah battery and 50 minutes for a 5.0Ah battery. The unit has a 2m power cord, measures 156 x 210 x 84mm and weighs 1.0kg.
