About this product
The Makita DC40RA is a fast charger designed for the XGT 40Vmax Li-ion battery range. It can also charge 18V LXT Li-ion batteries when used with the separate ADP10 adaptor. Two cooling fans, one for the battery and one for the charging circuit, allow consecutive batteries to be charged at the optimum rate. Digital communication between tool, battery and charger allows the optimal charge to be delivered depending on battery status. The charger has a raised, enlarged indicator light for clearer status readouts and an optional melody sound to signal a full charge, and can be wall mounted. Typical charging times are around 28 minutes for a 2.5Ah battery and 45 minutes for a 4.0Ah battery. It runs from a 240V supply with a 2m power cord, weighs 1.0kg and measures 156 x 210 x 84mm.
