About this product
This 25mm (1in) bevel edge chisel suits general-purpose carpentry, including cutting larger mortises, cleaning up wide joints and removing waste material. It is a popular size for both professional tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts.
The blade is made from drop-forged chrome vanadium steel, hardened and tempered so the cutting edge stays sharp for longer. Its bevelled edge allows access into tight corners and fine work. The blade is ground to 25°, increasing to 30° at the cutting edge, giving a double angle profile; a honing guide and oil, diamond or whetstone can be used for sharpening.
The handle has an anti-slip soft grip coating for comfort, and a steel striking cap to protect it when struck with a mallet or occasional hammer blow.
