About this product
The Hultafors HDC40 is a heavy-duty chisel with a 40mm blade, the largest in the range, suited to heavy mortising and large-scale timber work where substantial material removal is needed. It is forged in one piece with a continuous I-profile, giving strong resistance to breakage and good transmission of power into the workpiece. The 25° cutting edge balances sharpness with durability for repeated site use.
The blade and handle can be laid flat against a surface, allowing cuts parallel to it. It has a Santoprene handle for a comfortable grip and an impact-resistant nylon striker that can be replaced once worn. The chisel comes with a holster that can be attached to a belt or a button on work clothing.
