About this product

This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has a 32mm blade width and an overall length of 155mm, suited to heavy-duty carpentry, timber framing and larger joinery work such as substantial mortises. It uses a thru tang construction with a friction welded bolster for strength, and a steel striking cap that allows use with a steel hammer for extra cutting force. The blade is made from quality chrome alloy, ball bearing grade EN31 steel, fully ground and finished for sharpness, with a lacquered finish for corrosion protection and resistance to most solvents. Bevel edges allow access into acute angles and tight spaces. The ergonomic soft-grip handle, said to be 50% stronger than Stanley's previous DynaGrip Pro chisel handle, offers comfort and control, and a full-length blade guard is included for safer storage.
