About this product
This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has a 25mm (1in) blade and an overall length of 155mm, suited to heavy-duty mortising, larger lock fittings and general carpentry on substantial timber. The thru tang construction includes a friction welded bolster for strength, and a shatterproof polymer handle designed to be 50% stronger in side impact testing than the previous Dyna Grip Pro chisel, resisting most solvents. The blade is made from ball bearing grade EN31 steel to ISO standard, fully ground and finished for sharpness, with a chrome alloy composition giving good edge retention. A steel striking cap allows use with a steel hammer for extra cutting force, and the soft grip handle aims to give comfort and control. A full length blade guard is included for safe storage.
