About this product
This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has a 10mm blade, a popular size for general woodworking and carpentry, suiting tasks such as hinge recesses, medium mortises and paring work. The overall length is 125mm, giving a good balance of control and reach. The blade is thru tang construction with a friction welded bolster for strength, and is made from ball bearing grade EN31 steel, fully ground and finished for sharpness with good edge retention. A steel striking cap allows use with a steel hammer for extra cutting force, and the body resists most solvents. The handle is an ergonomic soft grip design, described as 50% stronger than Stanley's previous Dyna Grip Pro chisel handle in side impact testing, and comes with a full length blade guard for safety.
