About this product
This Stanley FatMax bevel edge chisel has a 50mm (2in) blade, the widest in the range, suited to heavy-duty carpentry and larger timber work where more material needs removing. The overall length is 165mm, giving useful leverage and reach. The blade is thru tang, made from ball bearing grade EN31 steel that is fully ground and finished for a sharp edge and good edge retention. The handle is a shatterproof polymer with an ergonomic soft grip for comfort and control, and a friction welded bolster adds strength, said to be 50% stronger than the previous Dyna Grip Pro Chisel in side impact testing. The steel striking cap allows use with a hammer for extra cutting force, and the handle resists most solvents. A full length blade guard is included for safety.
