The Dormer P809 is a solid carbide rotary burr with an oval (ball nose) shape, designed for contouring and finishing tasks where smooth, accurate edges are required. Its double-cut flute geometry, with closely spaced edges, gives efficient material removal and a good surface finish, while the skip-flute style at the centre reduces swarf congestion and improves cutting action. The burr has a toughened, hardened steel shank for rigidity and strength, helping to prevent bending and reduce vibration during use. It is suitable for steel, cast steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper alloys, high-temperature alloys and hardened materials. Specification: diameter 9.6mm, shank diameter 6mm, working length 16mm, overall length 60mm, cylindrical shank, uncoated (bright) finish.
