Bahco 9629-20 Flat Bit 20mm 9629-20

The Bahco 9629-20 Flat Bit with 20mm diameter is perfect for heavy-duty woodworking applications including plumbing installations, electrical work, and structural carpentry. With a working length of 75mm and overall length of 152mm, this popular size is ideal for drilling holes for 15mm copper pipe with insulation, larger electrical trunking, and substantial fixings in joists and studwork. Engineered with a positive cutting angle, this 20mm bit drills holes twice as fast whilst lasting three times longer than conventional flat bits. Made from high-carbon steel and heat-treated all over, the hardened blade is forged directly from the round shaft for exceptional durability. Its winged shoulders enable the bit to first cut the wood and then remove material from the centre section, ensuring a smooth finish and superior swarf clearance. This size features cutting spurs for enhanced precision and cleaner hole edges, crucial for maintaining building regulations compliance. The hex shank provides secure grip in your drill chuck, preventing slippage during operation.
