About this product
The Bahco 9631 8mm Long Flat Bit is an extended-length flat bit designed for drilling accurate holes into wood in deep or awkward locations that standard-length bits cannot reach. At 8mm diameter and 400mm overall length, it suits tasks such as cable runs, small dowel work and general fixing applications requiring extra depth.
Made from high-carbon steel and heat-treated throughout, the bit has a positive cutting angle said to drill twice as fast and last three times longer than a conventional flat bit. The hardened blade is forged directly from the round shaft for rigidity, while the winged shoulder design cuts the wood circumference before removing the centre section, giving a smooth finish and good swarf clearance.
