About this product
This DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bit is designed for portable or stationary drilling of steel, both alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm. It is particularly suited to drilling sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed, and also works effectively in wood and plastic. A strong central core with a tapered web reduces breakage, while a gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating for longer bit life. The patented split pilot point design eliminates walking or slipping on contact, aiding accurate positioning on curved surfaces. Three flat sides on the shank eliminate slipping in the chuck, and permanent size markings above the shank improve visibility. Specification: HSS head type, 8.0mm diameter, 72mm working length, 117mm overall length, supplied as a single bit.
