About this product

The Dormer A002 is a metric HSS jobber drill bit with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, designed for drilling accurate holes in metal, wood, plastic and other materials. The coating reduces friction and heat buildup, helping to resist flank and crater wear and allowing increased cutting speeds while extending tool life. Its pointed web and fluted tip design gives efficient cutting with reduced axial force and accurate centring, while the web improves strength, rigidity and feed. Flutes support efficient chip evacuation, and the optimised helix angle adds stiffness across the diameter range. The bright body suits ductile materials, and the bit carries visible in-situ marking for easy identification. This 10.50mm bit has a 118° point angle, conforms to DIN 338, and has an overall length of 133mm with a working length of 87mm. Supplied as a single bit in a pouch pack.
