About this product

The Dormer A002 is a metric HSS jobber drill bit with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, designed for drilling accurate holes in metal, wood, plastic and other materials. The pointed web and fluted tip design reduces axial force for accurate centring, while the web improves strength, rigidity and feed. The flutes support efficient chip formation and evacuation. The TiN coating resists flank and crater wear, lowers friction and allows for increased cutting speeds, while also reducing heat buildup for smoother drilling and extended tool life. The optimised helix angle adds stiffness, and the bright body improves cutting performance on ductile materials. The bit features a 118° point angle, conforms to DIN 338, and is suitable for hand-held or machine drilling. Tip diameter is 12.00mm, with an overall length of 151mm and working length of 101mm, supplied as a single bit in a pouch pack.
