About this product
The Dormer A002 is a jobber drill bit made from high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, giving increased resistance to flank and crater wear and lower friction for higher cutting speeds. It is suitable for drilling metal, wood, plastic and other materials, either by hand-held or machine drilling. The bit features a pointed web and fluted tip design for efficient cutting with reduced axial force and accurate centring, while the web design improves strength, rigidity and feed. The optimised helix angle adds stiffness, and the bright body suits ductile materials. It conforms to DIN 338 with a 118° point angle. This 5.50mm bit has an overall length of 93mm and a working length of 57mm, supplied singly in a pouch pack.
