The Dormer A125 is a high-speed steel extra-length drill bit designed for deep hole drilling and hard-to-reach areas, capable of drilling up to 10 times its diameter. It is aimed at professional and industrial users needing long reach beyond standard drill bits.
It features a standard spiral flute design with a 118° point angle, steam tempered construction to BS328, giving durability for demanding use. This bit measures 4.5mm tip diameter, with a working length of 250mm and an overall length of 315mm.
Due to its extra length, care is needed to avoid bending or breaking: it is best to start with shorter bits, work through increasing lengths, and let the drilling machine do the work rather than applying excessive pressure.
