About this product
This Dormer A170 drill is a 1/2in parallel shank drill with a 15mm tip diameter, made from high-speed steel with a steam-tempered finish. It has an overall length of 156mm and a flute (working) length of 83mm, with a standard spiral flute design, right-hand rotation and a 118° point angle.
Often referred to as a Blacksmith's drill, it is designed with a reduced shank to suit chucks with limited holding capacity, making it suitable for general-purpose drilling in steel and other materials. It can be used by hand or with machinery, and is intended for efficient drilling without the need for pecking.
