The Dormer A170 is a 1/2in parallel (reduced) shank drill with an 18.00mm tip diameter, made from high-speed steel with a steam-tempered finish. It has an overall length of 157mm and a working (flute) length of 84mm, with a 118° point angle and right-hand cutting rotation.
Often known as a Blacksmith's drill, it is designed for general-purpose use across a range of materials, particularly where chuck holding capacity is limited. The reduced parallel shank and standard spiral flute design make it suitable for both hand and machine drilling.
