About this product
This Dormer A170 drill has a 1/2in reduced parallel shank, allowing a 20mm diameter tip to be used with chucks of limited holding capacity. Often known as a Blacksmith's drill, it is a general-purpose tool suitable for a wide range of materials and can be used by hand or machine.
Made from high-speed steel with a steam-tempered finish, it features a standard spiral flute with right-hand rotation and a 118° point angle, allowing 4xD drilling in steel without pecking. Overall length is around 157-158mm, with a working length of 84mm.
