The Dormer A777 is a heavy-duty jobber drill bit made from HSS-E cobalt steel (8% cobalt), designed for professional and industrial use on tougher, higher tensile materials where drilling generates greater heat. Its 135° split point geometry, meeting NAS 907 aerospace specification, reduces walking and gives a precise start, while the cobalt content helps the bit hold its edge and resist wear at high temperatures.
The bit has a standard right-hand spiral flute with a thick web, a bronze surface finish, and conforms to DIN 338. This particular size has a 3.50mm diameter, 39mm working length and 70mm overall length.
